Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an experienced Building Science Project Engineer in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on Property & Facility Condition Assessments and due diligence reports for CRE clients, with hybrid weekly site visits.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in architecture/engineering/construction, 3+ years inspecting properties, and 2+ years working with financial institutions. Travel, a valid driver's license, and strong writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Graduate Degree in Architecture or related Engineering field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering and/or construction/cost estimating.
• 3+ years of experience performing property inspections.
• 2+ years of experience completing similar work for financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of the building systems and provide recommendations for immediate repairs.
• Perform site reconnaissance, data compilation and organization, and project research.
• Author technical reports and prepare quality supporting documents (maps, appendices).
• Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones and communicate progress to the Project Manager and client.
• Provide solid recommendations and solutions while understanding potential impact on the transaction process.
• Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope.
