North American Slate, the American subsidiary of a leading slate producer, is seeking a Sales Representative to drive growth in the Midwest region. You will identify new customers, negotiate terms, and manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close, with substantial travel across IL, IN, MI and WI.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Sales/Marketing or related field and at least three years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction. Medical and dental benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of outside sales experience, preferably construction-related.
• Travel to the Midwestern region (IL, IN, MI, WI) is required.

Responsabilités

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while negotiating pricing, terms and concessions to meet sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitor pipeline projects to reach targets.
• Managing leads within territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to sell slate products competitively.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, presentation, negotiation, closing and post-sale activities.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree
Field of Study Preferred:Sales, Marketing, or a related field
Required Work Experience:Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

Midwestern Region territory comprises the following states: Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Michigan (MI), and Wisconsin (WI). Local candidates in these states preferred. No relocation offered.

What we provide:

• $65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
