Responsibilities

• Serves as Building Official for the Town of Fort Mill and ensures compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• Administers and enforces state, town, and local building codes and construction regulations.
• Manages department and supervises inspectors and plan reviewers; develops and revises policies; manages budget.
• Oversees plan reviews and inspections, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
• Issues stop-work orders, notices of violation, and other enforcement actions as required by law.
• Interprets adopted codes and ordinances; provides technical guidance to the public and other Town departments.
