SAFEbuilt is seeking a Building Official in Florida to join our team of professionals. You will ensure code compliance, review plans, and serve as the primary liaison with clients, delivering high levels of service.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of local building code regulations, policies and procedures.
• Experience managing clients and teams in a building department.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
• Self-directed and self-motivated.
• Experience inspecting and performing plan reviews for commercial and residential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and local building codes.
• Apply building codes to day-to-day department work.
• Liaise with clients to deliver high levels of service.
• Attend department and client meetings as required.
• Perform plan reviews for commercial and residential projects.
• Provide inspection support as needed.
