Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Richmond, IN is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to assist customers and contractors with project needs. You will provide excellent service, advise on solutions, and drive add-on sales when appropriate.

You will learn product lines, stay updated on industry trends, and use software to create take-offs, estimates, quotes, and orders for homes, businesses, and additions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in building materials/construction.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Retail experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers and contractors.
• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Advise customers on solutions and add-on sales when appropriate.
• Stay educated on product lines and industry trends.
• Create accurate take-offs, estimates, quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Respond to inquiries about product selection, orders, prices, and deliveries.
• Explain orders and obtain sign-off before placing purchase orders.
• Ensure products are invoiced before leaving the store.
• Support in other departments as needed.
• Open and close store operations and maintain safety.
