Job summary

VPH Management Services LLC is seeking a Building Superintendent in Somerset, NJ. The role oversees daily building operations, maintenance, and security to ensure a first-class property standard.

You will supervise staff and contractors, manage work orders, and perform routine repairs to keep common areas and tenants satisfied. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or Maintenance Technician, with supervisory experience preferred, and the ability to multitask

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience as Building Superintendent or Maintenance Technician; supervisor experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operation, maintenance and security of the building.
• Oversee and inspect work performed by staff and contractors.
• Manage resident work order requests and respond to complaints.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
• Prepare vacant apartments for new occupancy and conduct move-out inspections.
• Maintain inventory of materials and equipment; record keeping of maintenance activities.
• Monitor safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies and regulations.
