Vesta Corporation in Newark, NJ is seeking an affordable housing experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance at Somerset Homes & Livingston Homes. This is a live-in position; you will reside on site and oversee day-to-day operations.

The role requires 5+ years in apartment maintenance, leading a team, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-budget performance. You will coordinate with the Property Manager, manage staff and vendors, and maintain property appearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in property maintenance.
• Apartment community maintenance experience required.
• HVAC and general trades knowledge preferred.
• Must have own hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations and staff.
• Lead make-ready, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Manage inventory, parts, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Provide on-call emergency maintenance coverage.
• Report to Property Manager and coordinate with team.
