Job summary

Rudin is seeking a Maintenance role in New York to uphold the cleanliness and upkeep of the building interior and exterior. You will perform light maintenance, assist with market-ready unit preparations, and support the residential team with work orders and safety compliance.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally. Overtime may be required to address emergencies, with compensation aligned to the SEIU Local 32BJ

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exterior and interiors including lobby, mail area, hallways, stairways and elevators.
• During inclement weather, lay down rain mats, sweep exterior puddles, mop common area floors, snow removal when necessary.
• Remove trash from common areas and exterior perimeters daily.
• Assist in preparation of market-ready units, removal of trash from vacant apartments and small touch-up maintenance; perform fine detail cleaning when needed.
• Report maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments and common areas.
• Assist maintenance person or residential manager by performing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist with Work Orders on any shift.
• Must comply with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules; overtime may be required to address emergencies.
• Safety: ensure unsafe conditions are corrected promptly; comply with safety rules; report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Other Ad Hoc Duties: relief coverage of building lobby post; operate the service elevator after training; answer phones.
