Job summary

Bunnell Lammons Engineering is seeking a Building Inspector to serve as a field representative ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, applicable codes, and local ordinances across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will hold ICC/ACI certifications, have strong knowledge of IBC/IRC, and possess excellent communication skills to document findings and interact with authorities.

Qualifications

• Active ICC/ACI certifications as required by inspection specialty.
• Strong knowledge of IBC/IRC and local amendments.
• Experience performing field inspections on residential, commercial, and industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Field inspections of structural elements across project phases.
• Test & sample construction materials and ensure compliance with plans.
• Review plans and specifications, and report deviations to stakeholders.
• Prepare daily electronic field reports and final sign-off documentation.

Education

ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector

ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I

ICC Soils Special Inspector

ICC Structural Welding and/or ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector

ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
