Job summary

Bunnell Lammons Engineering is seeking a Building Inspector to act as a field representative ensuring construction complies with plans, codes, and local ordinances. You will inspect across all project phases, document findings, and support safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate has strong construction knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to make code-based determinations in a fast-paced environment. On-site work across multiple SC locations is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years experience in construction
• Active ICC or ACI certifications depending on inspection specialty

Responsibilities

• Field inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
• Test and verify materials and performance per codes.
• Review plans and specifications for accuracy and code compliance.
• Identify and report deviations to contractor and project team.
• Prepare daily electronic field reports and final sign-off documentation.
