Job summary

Keller Inc. is a design/build general contractor in Wisconsin that is 100% employee-owned. We are seeking a hands-on Lead to supervise crews, coordinate with management, subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality on site.

You will direct 4-5 crew members, read blueprints, and travel within WI to meet project deadlines while maintaining a safe, productive work environment. Join our Owner-driven team and help build our culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Comfortable with heights and physical labor.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Wisconsin.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate tools.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crew members on erection of metal and wood framed buildings.
• Direct 4-5 crew members and assist in training new hires.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, and equipment with project management to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate schedules with subcontractors and manage work areas.
• Monitor quality control and safety for employees and subs.
• Provide regular progress updates to supervisor.
• Complete daily reports, timecards, and QC sheets.
• Maintain a safe on-site work environment.

Job Duties

• Lead and work with crew members performing building erection of our pre-engineered/conventional metal and wood framed buildings
• Lead 4-5 crew members in daily duties and assist in training of new members
• Work with project management team to ensure proper staffing, materials, and equipment are on site to meet the project deadlines
• Work with subcontractors to coordinate schedules and work areas
• Monitor quality control and safety standards for Keller employees and subcontractors
• Keep supervisor informed with job progress
• Complete daily paperwork such as daily reports, timecards, and quality control sheets
• Maintain a safe work environment for all members on the job site

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum 5 years construction experience (Preferred)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Comfortable with heights
• Great Leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to travel typically within WI
• Ability to lift heavy objects (0-80lbs from ground to waist level, 0-50lbs from to shoulder level)
• Ability to walk, and stand for long periods of time while performing physical labor
• Ability to operate tools and equipment
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
