Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED is required.
  • Refrigeration certification (Q01) is required.
  • EPA Universal Technician Certification.
  • FDNY Certificate of Fitness (Sprinkler S-12 and Standpipe S-13) preferred.
  • OSHA 10-Hour certification is preferred.
  • DMV driver's license.
  • Experience with package unit systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspection of HVAC and fire systems.
  • Ensure compliance with City, County and State codes.
  • Manage daily reporting, logbooks, and assignments.
  • Prepare operational procedures with Chief Engineer for code compliance.
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs for inspections, data gathering, and audits.
  • Oversee work orders through workflow applications.
  • Ensure safety procedures and regulations are followed and monitor contractor performance.
  • Keep up with new technologies and efficiency protocols in building operations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
