Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Salt Lake City to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related disciplines. The role ensures compliance with safety codes and company directives while supporting an energy-efficient operation of facilities.

You will contribute to preventive maintenance programs, handle emergency repairs, and assist with system inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade diploma with work experience; combinations may be considered.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as part of the role.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions; Universal CFC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
• Follow safety policies, codes, and regulatory requirements in all tasks.
• Maintain energy management practices and ensure efficient operation of building systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs when needed.
• Explain technical information clearly to team members and leaders.
