Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain and repair building systems for safe, efficient operation at the assigned property in Denver. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle electrical and HVAC tasks, and coordinate with staff to meet service requests.

Strong knowledge of building operations, safety procedures, and the ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the building operation/maintenance field preferred
• Universal EPA Refrigerant Handler License required
• NATE Certified HVAC Technician
• Refrigeration Operating Engineer or Stationary Engineer License required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
• Maintain life safety systems and inspect emergency generators
• Operate electrical systems, lighting, plumbing and energy management equipment
• Coordinate with subcontractors for specialized tasks
• Update records and work orders for site/buildings
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety, and government directives
• Assist in monitoring and supervising building operations and contractors
