Job summary

CBRE HV is seeking a Building Engineer in Memphis to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling. You will support preventive maintenance, ensure safety compliance, and help optimize energy use while working within CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services.

The role requires 4–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required (4-5 years of related experience may substitute).
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment from multiple information sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset; ability to handle math-related calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems to keep facilities up to code.
• Follow safety policies and regulations related to building operations and hazardous materials.
• Implement and support preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and efficiency.
• Review building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure operation meets design specs.
• Provide knowledge sharing and guidance to teammates within the function.
