Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer in Memphis to monitor, maintain and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and related areas.

The role supports CBRE’s Healthcare sector, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The candidate should have 4–5 years of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and preferred Universal CFC certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 4-5 years of related experience; combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and electrical systems and ensure building systems meet standards.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety requirements related to building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design specs.
