Job summary

Colliers International in Portland is hiring a Building Engineer to manage preventative maintenance and repairs for the building's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. You will respond to client requests, prioritize work orders, and coordinate with contractors to ensure minimal downtime.

The role requires 4+ years in building maintenance, solid HVAC knowledge, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in building/property maintenance or building engineering.
Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, VAVs, and related equipment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours/weekend emergency requests.
A valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record (MVR).

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, necessary repairs, and repairs to the building's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems to keep operations efficient and safe.
Respond to client requests, prioritize, and assign work orders to Building Engineers; follow up to minimize downtime.
Maintain knowledge of life safety, fire protection, and security systems to ensure proper operations.
Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders; manage inventories, records, and schedules.
