Job summary

Colliers in Joliet, IL is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair the property’s mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. You will manage preventative maintenance, respond to client requests, and coordinate work orders to minimize downtime.

A minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in building maintenance is required, along with a valid driver’s license and a CFC certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineer experience.
• CFC Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Flexibility to be on‑call for after‑hours / weekend emergencies.
• Valid driver license.
• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance, and most repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Respond to client requests, prioritize, complete work orders, and follow up to minimize downtime and communicate.
