Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Richardson, TX to monitor, maintain, and repair critical building systems including MEP, power, cooling, and controls, ensuring 100% uptime. You will manage BMS/EPMS, coordinate with vendors, follow SOPs and MOPs, and uphold OSHA and NFPA 70E standards while supporting 24/7 operations in a data center environment.

Experience with low-voltage control, DDC programming, and automation platforms such as Metasys or Automated Logic is preferred; EPA refrigerant

Qualifications

Experience in critical environment operations within data centers, hospitals, or high‑reliability plants.
Proficiency with BMS/EPMS architectures and automation platforms preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control sequences, and network topology.

Responsibilities

Perform rounds and site tours to inspect MEP systems and identify potential failures.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical equipment; oversee third‑party vendors for specialized maintenance.
Monitor and troubleshoot BMS/EPMS and PLCs; respond to alarms and optimize system performance for uptime.
Review and execute SOPs, MOPs, and ESOPs; create MOPs for control system upgrades and sensor calibrations.
Adhere to safety policies, OSHA/NFPA 70E, and critical environment guidelines; ensure site staff safety.
