Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building system operations across plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, focused on data center standards.

You will perform rounds, oversee third-party vendors, and ensure safe, compliant operation while advancing uptime and efficiency. This role requires 3–5+ years in critical environments and BMS/EPMS expertise.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in critical environment operations.
• EPA refrigerant certification and HVAC credentials.
• Experience with BMS and EPMS.
• Flexibility to work nights or shift coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine site rounds and facility tours to inspect MEP systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical equipment; oversee vendors.
• Review and execute MOP, SOP, and ESOP documents during operations.
• Apply knowledge of power infrastructure and cooling to improve operations.
• Report incidents per policy and escalate as needed.
• Complete safety training and ensure OSHA compliance.
