Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Long Beach, MS is seeking a Building Enclosure Project Associate to join our Southeast Building Science + Infrastructure team. You will perform testing, inspections, and consulting on building enclosure systems and infrastructure projects.

You will interpret drawings, assist with CAD, and contribute to test plans, reporting, and design reviews. This role requires 2+ years in enclosure consulting and a relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 2+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified in at least one of the following preferred but not required: PE, RA, IIBEC certifications, UW–Madison certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform building science and infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and building enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings and site plans; assist with drafting or CAD work.
• Perform building enclosure testing and assist with test protocol development.
• Interpret test results, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with forensic assessments, commissioning activities, and enclosure investigations.
• Assist with design reviews and repair design for building envelope components.
• Maintain familiarity with IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, and CSI building codes.
