Job summary

Intertek in Hillside, IL seeks a Building Enclosure Field-Testing Lead / Project Specialist to lead testing of fenestration, roofing and air barriers on new and existing buildings. Frequent travel (about 50%) and a Monday–Friday schedule with variable start times are expected.

You will prepare field reports, develop proposals, and collaborate with field testing management on resources and scheduling. Requires 3+ years in building enclosure testing and a technical background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with building enclosure systems and testing.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work on multiple projects.
• Fluent in English; valid driver’s license.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead standardized building enclosure field performance testing of windows, curtain walls, storefront glazing, roofing and waterproofing systems.
• Prepare reports of field-testing results.
• Prepare proposals for potential new projects.
• Collaborate with field testing manager regarding schedules, training, equipment and material needs.
