Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in building enclosure consulting or construction industry.
• Knowledge of building enclosure systems and roofing.
• Experience in construction administration, progress observation and site inspection.

• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform office tasks and physical labor.
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs as needed.
• Willingness to travel ~25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Complete field performance testing and water leakage testing of roofing and waterproofing systems, windows, curtain walls, and other building elements.
• Perform QA observations and monitor construction to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Conduct construction administration and site visits.
• Assist with forensic investigations and document existing conditions including walls, windows, curtain walls, roofs, skylights, and plaza waterproofing.
• Prepare professionally written field reports.
• Learn building enclosure reviews of architectural drawings, shop drawings and submittals.
• Learn to prepare sketches and details using Bluebeam and hand-drawn techniques.
