Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled on_site Commercial Controls technician to diagnose, repair, and commission building control systems. You will mentor technicians, prepare project documentation, and deliver high-quality service to resolve building inefficiencies at customer sites.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safety adherence, and collaboration with sales for retrofit proposals, with opportunities for growth within a global leader in smart buildings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and commission building control systems on site.
• Mentor technicians and provide project documentation.
• Provide customer-facing service to resolve building inefficiencies.
• Develop field proposals for retrofits and upgrades.
• Coordinate with project and subcontractors to deliver services.
• Ensure safety and adherence to company standards.
