Job summary

Kelso Building Services is seeking a Building Automation Solutions Consultant to grow our commercial and institutional facilities market in Phoenix. You will identify customer challenges and tailor automation solutions, building long-term client relationships with cross-functional teams.

You will lead discovery, site assessments, proposals, and presentations, and you will manage opportunities in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of sales experience within building automation, controls, HVAC, energy services, facility technologies, or a related market.
• Demonstrated success generating new business and exceeding sales goals.
• Experience leading consultative sales conversations and solution-based engagements.
• Strong presentation, communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to navigate opportunities involving multiple decision-makers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities across assigned accounts and target markets.
• Build strategic relationships with facility directors, building owners, engineers, contractors, and operations leaders.
• Develop territory plans that support sustained sales growth.
• Participate in industry associations, networking events, and prospecting efforts to expand market awareness.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand facility goals and operational challenges.
• Perform site visits and building assessments.
• Create proposals, scopes of work, and solution recommendations.
• Present operational, financial, and energy-related benefits to stakeholders.
• Guide contract discussions and support project transitions to delivery teams.
• Maintain opportunity tracking, forecasting, and activity management within Salesforce.
• Maintain regular engagement with current clients.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades, retrofits, and expanded service programs.
• Support account retention and long-term growth initiatives.
• Partner with technical and operations teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
