Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking a Controls Sales Engineer to drive sales of building automation and temperature control solutions. The role focuses on design-build, plan, and specification projects with customers across the industrial and commercial sectors.

The successful candidate will leverage HVAC and building automation knowledge to deliver optimal control solutions, manage key accounts, and contribute to revenue growth while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales-related work experience.
• Moderate related technical and financial expertise.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned territory or accounts including building owners, end-users, engineers, and contractors.
• Achieve booking and gross margin goals; annual booking volume guideline is $2-4M.
• Develop and implement plans to maximize sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.
• Prepare accurate sales activity reports, forecast reports, and expense tracking.
• Stay current with trends, technologies, and regulations in the building automation industry.
