Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a building control systems professional for an on-site role in Houston. You will design, configure, and commission complete control systems across fire, security, and low‑voltage subsystems to meet project requirements.
Travel will be required to support field teams and customers. You will develop software, prepare drawings and schedules, and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure proper operation and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls.
- Experience with building sub-systems and control networks (BACnet, LON, etc.).
- Experience with JCI software programming is preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly and interface with clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and operate building control systems (fire, security, lighting, data networks).
- Develop software programs and commissioning for building control systems.
- Prepare submittals and communicate design details to customers and installers.
- Provide field change information for as-built drawings and software.
