Job summary

Jobot is seeking an HVAC Controls Engineer to support design and development of building automation systems in Columbus, OH. The role offers hybrid options and involves designing control schemes across commercial projects from concept through execution.

Responsibilities include drafting system layouts, wiring diagrams, submittals, and documentation, selecting devices, and ensuring designs meet specs while coordinating with PMs and field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC controls or building automation system design.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and building automation control systems based on project plans.
• Create system layouts, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Prepare submittals, as‑builds, and O&M documentation.
• Select control devices and ensure designs meet project specifications.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
• Support integration across HVAC, lighting, access control, and related systems.
• Assist with BAS graphics and system interface development.
