Job summary

Trane Technologies in New York City / Long Island is seeking a Building Automation Area Service Manager to lead service contracts, upgrades, repairs, and lifecycle connectivity for a key customer. You will oversee field service coordination, pricing support, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 4+ years in industrial sales or service management, and experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years' experience in an industrial sales business setting.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in managing teams of people, processes, and budgets.
• Knowledge of HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service coordination function to respond efficiently to customers and ensure technicians' training and skill levels are balanced.
• Lead emergency repair, maintenance contracts, scheduled work and upgrades, installations, and long-term service agreements.
• Develop and coach employees, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety compliance.
• Maximize cash flow by managing invoices, budgets, and utilization of the service team.
• Ensure standard service work processes are created and followed and improve customer experience.
