Intertek seeks an entry-level Builder to join our Building & Construction team in York, PA. You will participate in construction and demolition of mock-up test assemblies, prepare specimens, and assist with client installations, working closely with managers and technicians to ensure project readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read technical drawings. A driver’s license and willingness to work at heights will help you succeed in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools used in building construction.
• Commercial construction experience is desirable.

Responsabilités

What are we looking for?

Intertek is searching for a Builder to join our Building & Construction team in our York, PA office.

What you\'ll do:

• Construction and demolition of mock-up test assemblies
• Small, intermediate, and large-scale specimen preparation
• Assist with client product installation (when needed)
• Read, understand, and interpret client and manager provided installation drawings and procedures
• Work with the Project Manager, technicians, and clients to ensure the preparation of all project details are complete to satisfaction
• Implement ideas and execute practices to ensure safety, reliability, improved quality, reduce cost, and comply with company policies
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• High school diploma or GED
• Welding experience preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret technical standards and specifications
• Knowledge of equipment and tools used in building construction
• Commercial construction experience desired
• Proficiency in interpreting construction plans and installation instructions
• Ability to follow direction and work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull (infrequently) up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend down, climb ladders, reach over-head and work at heights up to 60 feet
• Valid driver\'s license and reliable driving record (required)
• Ability to pass pre-employment check
