Job summary

Intertek is seeking an entry-level Builder for the Building & Construction team in York, PA. This role supports construction testing, assembly preparation, and coordination with clients and managers on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Welding experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools used in building construction.
• Commercial construction experience desired.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction plans and installation instructions.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs (infrequently).
• Ability to bend, climb ladders and reach heights up to 60 feet.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required).
• Ability to pass pre-employment check.

Responsibilities

• Construction and demolition of mock-up test assemblies.
• Small, intermediate, and large-scale specimen preparation.
• Assist with client product installation when needed.
• Read, understand, and interpret installation drawings and procedures.
• Work with the Project Manager, technicians, and clients to ensure project details are complete.
• Implement ideas to improve safety, reliability, quality, reduce cost and comply with policies.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with client product installation (when needed)
• Read, understand, and interpret client and manager provided installation drawings and procedures

Minimum Education Required
