Job summary

BH Management Services, LLC is seeking a Service Manager Build to Rent to coordinate repairs and maintenance across multiple communities. You will prepare work schedules, oversee the maintenance team, and ensure safety and quality while travelling between properties.

The role requires HVAC-related certifications (EPA Type II) and CPO, with the ability to work on-site up to 95% of the time. A proactive, team-oriented approach is essential to deliver reliable service across communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in progressive maintenance, safety, and major HVAC/repair types.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to travel locally and work onsite up to 95% of the time.
• Must provide own industry-specific hand tools.
• HVAC, EPA Type II, and CPO certifications required or obtainable within first year.

Responsibilities

• Create weekly/daily maintenance schedules and assign tasks to staff.
• Tour properties daily to identify maintenance needs and hazards.
• Maintain grounds and oversee rehab/construction projects across properties.
• Manage inventory and secure tools; monitor budgets and spend.
• Coordinate safety training and ensure proper adherence to procedures.
• Represent the company professionally on-site and with vendors.
• Support site staffing with the Community Manager Build to Rent.
