Job summary

Jerry Seiner Las Vegas Buick GMC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Service Advisor with high earning potential. You will welcome customers, review history, and recommend maintenance while clearly explaining findings, options, and pricing.

Build trust, guide decisions, and drive results in a busy service department. As part of a team, you will coordinate with technicians, Parts, and support staff to ensure a smooth customer experience, manage expectations, and deliver top-tier service.

Qualifications

• Automotive experience in service advising or automotive customer service.
• Strong customer service and sales aptitude preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, listen to concerns, review service history, and recommend maintenance.
• Explain findings, options, value and pricing; ask for the sale with supporting photos/videos.
• Set cost/time expectations, provide proactive updates, address concerns promptly.
• Follow up on declined recommendations; handle questions and objections respectfully.
• Prepare accurate estimates and obtain authorization before repairs or cost changes.
• Verify warranty coverage and follow manufacturer approvals.
• Coordinate with Advisors, technicians, Parts, and support staff to ensure a smooth experience.
• Review repairs and charges at delivery; follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Help achieve department goals for customer experience, hours sold, and profitability.

What You'll Do

• Welcome customers, listen to their concerns, review service history, and recommend needed maintenance.
• Clearly explain technician findings, repair options, value, and pricing, and confidently ask for the sale. Utilize technician inspections, photos, and videos to support personal conversations with customers.
• Set realistic expectations for cost and timing, provide proactive updates, and address concerns promptly.
• Follow up on unanswered or declined recommendations, answer questions, and handle objections respectfully.
• Prepare accurate estimates, obtain authorization before repairs or cost changes, and document approvals, declined work, and customer communication.
• Verify warranty coverage and follow manufacturer documentation and approval requirements.
• Work closely with Advisors, technicians, Parts, and support staff to coordinate repairs, help during busy periods, and deliver a smooth customer experience.
• Review completed repairs and charges at delivery and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Help achieve department goals for customer experience, hours sold, and profitability.

What We're Looking For

• Automotive experience is desired, especially in service advising, parts, or automotive customer service. Strong customer service and sales candidates are also encouraged to apply.
• Clear communication, organization, and consistent follow-through.
• Confidence recommending services while earning customer trust.
• A team player who shows respect, accepts coaching, and takes accountability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and learn new systems. CDK and Xtime experience is a plus.
