Jerry Seiner Dealerships in Salt Lake City is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor who will greet customers, assess service needs, and coordinate with technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles.

You will explain repair options, manage appointments, and keep customers updated on status, while building lasting loyalty. Prior dealership experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of customer service experience in a professional setting.
• 1-2 years of Automotive Service Advisor experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Experience with dealership management systems (CDK) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with service needs in a professional manner.
• Work with service technicians to diagnose vehicle concerns and communicate repairs.
• Explain repair recommendations, maintenance schedules, and options to customers.
• Schedule service appointments and manage department workflow.
• Provide updates on vehicle status and completion timelines.
• Answer questions about services, warranty coverage, and maintenance.
• Document services and process customer payments.
• Coordinate with technicians and parts to ensure repair timelines.
• Build relationships to encourage repeat business and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them with their vehicle service needs in a professional and friendly manner.
• Work with service technicians to diagnose vehicle concerns and communicate recommended repairs.
• Clearly explain repair recommendations, maintenance schedules, and service options to customers.
• Schedule service appointments and manage workflow within the service department.

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor (preferred)
• Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of automotive technology and service processes
• Experience with dealership management systems such as CDK (preferred)
• 5+ years of customer service experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
