Job summary

The Agency for Health Care Administration in Florida seeks a Government Analyst I to support the Budget and Grants Compliance Manager. You will track budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure CMS and federal grant compliance within federal cost principles.

duties include preparing budget summaries, financial dashboards, and audit-ready documentation while coordinating with procurement, contracts, and regional teams. Requires 2 years of budget/financial experience and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of budget tracking, financial reporting, and grants compliance concepts.
• Basic understanding of federal grant management and 2 CFR Part 200.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial data.
• Solid analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and fiscal reporting systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day budget tracking, reconciliation, and monitoring of program expenditures.
• Support preparation of budget summaries, expenditure reports, forecasting tools, and dashboards.
• Compile and organize financial data for CMS reports and federal submissions.
• Track grant compliance deadlines and maintain calendars for reporting.
• Review invoices and reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor sub-awardee budgets and flag potential compliance concerns.
• Maintain audit-ready financial documentation and support internal reviews.
• Prepare materials and respond to inquiries for audit readiness and CMS monitoring.
