The OPS Operations Management Consultant II serves as a Budget Specialist for the Florida Rural Health Transformation Program at the Agency for Health Care Administration. This position supports financial oversight, grants compliance, and budget management by tracking expenditures, monitoring program funds, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with CMS requirements and federal grant guidance. The Budget Specialist reports to the Budget and Grants Compliance Manager and works at agency headquarters on a grant-funded temporary basis.

Key qualifications:

• Two years of experience in budget support, financial administration, grants administration, or accounting, preferably in a public-sector or federally funded program
• Working knowledge of budget tracking, financial reporting, and grants compliance concepts
• Basic understanding of federal grant management and federal cost principles (2 CFR Part 200)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial data and documentation
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial tracking tools, and fiscal reporting systems
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
