Qualifications

  • Two years of professional fiscal experience creating and/or reconciling budgets.
  • High school diploma or GED; college credits in business/accounting can substitute.
  • MS Office Suite with intermediate Word/Excel/MS Outlook required.
  • Experience providing training on fiscal topics.
  • Customer service experience with problem solving and communication.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to maintain a collegial, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual budget-development process for seven DRAC programs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain detailed budget spreadsheets and tracking tools.
  • Review proposals for accuracy, coding, and historical spending patterns.
  • Analyze revenues, expenditures, fund balances, and variances.
  • Reconcile budget documents with university records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare budget summaries and reports for DRAC and S&A Committee.
  • Monitor budgets and communicate deviations and actions to budget authority.
  • Provide technical fiscal guidance on budget preparation and usage of funds.
  • Maintain organized fiscal records to support budget requests and expenditures.
