The University of Washington is seeking Budget/Fiscal Analysts (SEIU Local 925 Nonsupervisory) across UW Bothell, Seattle, and Tacoma. The role monitors resources, develops budgets, and provides reports to inform strategic decisions.

You will work under general direction, may supervise others, and contribute to financial policy development. This is a regular, full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Two years of experience performing fiscal analysis, planning and reporting.
  • Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain fiscal record keeping and reporting systems.
  • Analyze and develop budgets for grants, contracts, state funds, and program funds.
  • Participate in preparing budget requests and develop budgets for various funds.
  • Assist in development of financial policies.
  • Identify project expenditure/revenue patterns.
  • Analyze proposed legislation and project fiscal impacts.
  • Evaluate financial alternatives and recommend action.
  • Recommend or implement changes to fiscal information systems with dept-wide impact.
  • May direct the work of others.

In this collaborative role you would monitor resources, manage data and provide reports to inform strategic and operational decision-making and planning. This candidate bank is recruiting for Budget/Fiscal Analysts (SEIU Local 925 Nonsupervisory) that are or may become available at UW Bothell, UW Seattle and UW Tacoma.

Job Responsibilities

Budget/Fiscal Analysts perform a variety of functions under general direction including:

  • establish and maintain fiscal record keeping and reporting systems and review/audit procedures;
  • analyze and develop budgets for grants, contracts, state funds, and/or program funds;
  • participate in preparing budget requests, develop budgets for grants, contracts, state and/or program funds;
  • assist in the development of financial/fiscal policies;
  • identify project expenditure/revenue patterns;
  • analyze proposed legislation and project fiscal impacts;
  • evaluate financial alternatives and recommend appropriate action;
  • recommend or implement changes to fiscal information systems which have department-wide impact;
  • may direct the work of others.
Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree with major study in accounting, business administration, or related field and two years of experience performing fiscal analysis, planning, and reporting, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details

Pay Range Minimum: $57,252.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum: $76,992.00 annual
