Qualifications

  • Two years of professional fiscal experience creating and reconciling budgets.
  • High school diploma or GED; college credits in business accounting may substitute.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite with intermediate Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Experience providing training on fiscal topics.
  • Customer service focus with problem solving and communication.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to interpret complex university fiscal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate DRAC budget development across seven programs and monitor submissions.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit detailed budget spreadsheets and models.
  • Review proposals for accuracy, codes, and compliance with S&A and university rules.
  • Prepare summaries, projections, and expenditure reports for committee review.
  • Monitor budgets and communicate variances and corrective actions.
  • Provide fiscal guidance to program staff on expenditures and reporting.
  • Maintain organized records supporting budget requests and allocations.
  • Support DRAC Advisor with financial management and inquiries.
