Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Management Analyst II in the Park & Recreation Department's Recreation Division. The role analyzes the division’s financial systems, supports budgeting for salaries, staffing, and operations, and guides executives on budget processes. Strong analytical skills and adaptability are essential.

The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Director, supervise administrative staff, and help prepare reports for the City Council and Advisory Board.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as specified.
• Two years of experience analyzing processes, procedures, operations, or budgets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with the division’s budget, including salaries, staffing, office supplies, machinery and equipment; assist with revenue analysis and fee benchmarking and review.
• Create supporting details for the budget; identify possible budget overruns.
• Review and prepare financial forecasts (for revenue and expenditure accounts).
• Monitor and approve expenditures for the division.
• Provide a variety of analytical and research support on various projects.
• Compile, review and track document submittals to the Park & Recreation Advisory Board and City Council and review staff credit card purchases, and purchases in PeopleSoft Financials.
• Prepare and present reports, assist with planning, developing and implementing work plans to include goals and objectives and attend meetings regularly to gather information for the division and department.

Education

Master’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
