Job summary

ACET, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Budget Analyst to join the Financial Management team supporting the F/A-18 program at NAS Norfolk, VA.

You will own day-to-day financial execution and ensure budget submissions are accurate, legal, and aligned with mission goals, translating complex metrics into actionable insights. Responsibilities include examining budgets for accuracy, tracking execution trends, resolving discrepancies, and delivering detailed briefs to leadership.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Security Clearance required or ability to obtain.
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
• 3–10 years of budget formulation, financial tracking or accounting analysis, preferably in DoD/NAVAIR.
• Proficiency in defense accounting frameworks and advanced Excel; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate budget estimates for completeness and accuracy per NAVAIR procedures and regs.
• Analyze budgeting and accounting reports to monitor execution trends and benchmarks.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between internal tracking and government accounting systems.
• Prepare tracking spreadsheets, narratives, and briefs for program leadership.
