Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a nursing faculty member to join its nursing program and drive excellence in classroom and clinical education. You will collaborate with instructors to develop and assess coursework, supervise students in clinical settings, and provide timely feedback on performance.

A strong focus on adult learning, teaching with online tools, and program quality is essential for success. The role includes orientation for new faculty, maintaining records, and staying current with safety

Qualifications

• Valid, active nursing license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in nursing or education/administration (e.g., OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry).
• At least four years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching counts toward direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other instructors to prepare, administer, and grade examinations and final evaluations.
• Ensure class attendance and submission of grades.
• Assist with planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of the program.
• Plan and administer orientation for new faculty in theory and clinical facilities.
• Utilize teaching methods for adult learners and incorporate online activities to enhance content.
• Maintain student records of attendance, skills check-off forms, and assist with program data collection.
• Submit program reports to the Director of the program in a timely manner.
• Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations; participate in committee activities.
• Supervise student clinical experiences in assigned health care facilities; evaluate performance.
• Provide feedback of clinical performance after observation.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs; observe and evaluate effectively.
