Job summary
Unitek College in Utah is seeking a qualified nursing instructor to join our healthcare education team. You will collaborate with peers to prepare and grade exams, manage attendance and grades, and supervise student clinical experiences.
The role requires an active RN license, a Master’s or higher with nursing/education coursework, and at least four years of direct patient care. You will contribute to program quality and stay current with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
- Master of Nursing or higher degree including nursing or education coursework.
- At least four years of direct patient care as a registered nurse.
- Clinical experience within the last five years; teaching counts.
- Expertise in psychiatric, geriatrics, med/surg, pediatrics, OB-Gyn or mental health.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with instructors to prepare, administer, and grade exams.
- Ensure attendance records and grades are maintained and submitted.
- Assist in planning and assessing instructional initiatives for program quality.
- Plan orientation for new faculty in theory and clinical facilities.
- Utilize teaching methods suitable for adult learners and online activities.
- Maintain student records and assist with program data collection.
- Submit program reports to the program Director in a timely manner.
- Keep current with healthcare technologies and safety regulations.
- Participate in committee activities supporting the nursing program.
- Supervise student clinical experiences and evaluate performance.
