Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking qualified nursing faculty to join its educational team. The role involves coordinating exams, maintaining attendance and grades, and guiding instructional initiatives in both classroom and clinical settings.

Requirements include an active RN license and a Master of Nursing or higher, with at least four years of direct patient care and recent clinical experience. The position includes benefits and opportunities for leadership development in a collegiate environment.

Qualifications

• RN license active in the state.
• Master of Nursing or higher with required coursework.
• At least four years of direct patient care as an RN.
• Clinical experience within the last five years.
• Expertise in one of Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn or Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with instructors in preparing, administering, and grading examinations for the course.
• Ensure class attendance and grades are recorded and submitted.
• Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
• Plan and implement orientation of new faculty in theory and clinical facilities.
• Utilize teaching principles for adult learners and engage in online activity enhancements.
• Maintain student records of attendance, skills check-offs, and program data collection.
• Submit program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
• Keep current with health and safety regulations and new technologies.
• Participate in committee activities supporting the nursing program.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in health care facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against clinical outcomes.
• Provide feedback on clinical performance after observation.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Determine observation, instruction, and evaluation methods.
• Verify clinical facilities meet health and safety requirements.
• Provide access to students for ongoing communication.
• Participate in student advising activities.
