Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in Orange Beach, Alabama is seeking a kitchen team member to accurately and efficiently prepare hot food and to portion ingredients prior to cooking. The role includes plating, garnishing and maintaining food quality while following Ruby Standards and recipes.

The position requires at least 1 year of kitchen prep experience, clear communication with managers and crew, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members.
• Be able to reach, bend stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products.
• Prepare and portion food prior to cooking.
• Plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu items.
