Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in Cahaba Commons, AL is seeking a kitchen team member to accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products and portion food prior to cooking, including plating and garnishing of prepared items.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members.
• Be able to reach, bend stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking.
• Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.
