Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in New Orleans, LA is seeking a motivated kitchen team member to accurately prepare hot foods and portion ingredients for cooking. You will also plate, garnish, and ensure quality presentations according to our standards.

We require a minimum of 1 year in kitchen preparation and the ability to follow recipes, stay organized, and maintain a clean work area. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and communicate clearly with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products and portions prior to cooking.
• Plating and garnishing cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu items.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work area in line with kitchen standards.
