Job summary

Stantec's Great Lakes environmental services team seeks an experienced Brownfield Project Manager to lead due diligence, assessment, cleanup, and redevelopment projects across the Midwest with emphasis on grant-funded work. The role requires extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations and strong proposal-writing skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in environmental due diligence, assessment, remediation, and project management in at least one Great Lakes state.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• Experience managing federal or state funded brownfield/redevelopment projects in at least one Great Lakes state; licensure is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental due diligence, assessment, cleanup, and brownfield redevelopment projects with attention to safety, quality, detail, budget, and deadlines.
• Oversee Phase I and II ESAs, asbestos and lead-based paint sampling, and senior review of deliverables.
• Prepare proposals and other marketing materials; assist with grant applications.
• Scoping and scheduling field investigations; health and safety plans.
• Field support including work planning, scheduling, and safety planning.
• Oversee field contractors and coordinate with laboratories; manage sampling documents.
• Overseeing environmental cleanup activities and ensuring regulatory compliance.
