Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Brownfield Project Manager for the Great Lakes region, primarily focused on due diligence, assessment, and brownfield redevelopment in the Midwest. The role requires leadership of projects with regulatory awareness and strong writing skills.

Candidates should have 10+ years in environmental projects and a relevant degree; licensure is strongly desired. Location is Chicago with office presence required; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in environmental due diligence, assessment, remediation, and project management in at least one Great Lakes state.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• Experience managing federal/state funded brownfield/redevelopment projects; licensure desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental due diligence, assessment, cleanup, and brownfield redevelopment projects with safety, quality, and budget focus.
• Oversee Phase I/II assessments, sampling, and senior deliverable reviews; guide scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare proposals and marketing materials.
• Assist with grant applications for environmental projects.
• Scoping and scheduling field investigations and HSP writing.
• Coordinate field staff and contractors; manage sampling documents and labs.
