Responsibilities

• Adjusts controls to regulate temperature in chicken houses.
• Examines birds for signs of illness and applies treatments per guidelines.
• Supervises feeding and watering schedules; records weights, medications, and mortality.
• Cleans and disinfects waterers and pens; performs routine housekeeping and repairs.
• Participates in hatch activities and supervises related assignments.
• Operates farm vehicles to transport eggs and chicks; may require DOT certification.
• Learn basic computer programs such as Outlook, Cobb Data Collection, Excel, and Workday.
